How it Works
Our specially-designed algorithm aims to help all healthcare professionals find their dream placement. This includes both community service placements, as well as internship placements for medical students.
The process involves creating your free account, ranking your preferred placements and specifying how much you would be willing to pay to swap to your preferred facilities (and you can even set a price to sell your placement if you’re not sure you want it).
In this way, we aim to close the gap between students with circumstances that allow them a wider range of ideal placement options, and students whose circumstances prevent certain placements.

Create a free account
Create a free account with us. We'll ask for some details to make sure we find the best matches for you.

Add your preferences
For each facility that you'd be willing to swap to, enter your budget - this can be zero. The more facilities you enter an amount for, the better your chances of finding a match.

Add your placement
Add you placement details to your profile and let us know whether you're willing to swap your placement.

Let the magic happen
We'll run our algorithm based on your placement and preferences. This will happen throughout the day after placements are announced and until swaps close.

Check your match dashboard
If our algorithm finds you any matches, we'll let you know. Keep an eye on your match dashboard too!

Accept a match
Once you get notified of a match, you will have the option to accept. Accepting a match means that you're willing to pay the amount you entered in your preferences (step 2 above) to be placed at that facility. Once all parties have accepted and paid, we'll be in contact to facilitate the swap.
Fees
In the interest of being completely transparent, we'd like to make sure you're fully comfortable with and aware of our process.

There is one fee involved in us finding you a match (as well as an income for you, potentially!).

Initiate your swap
The only possible charge on our platform is an administrative fee for a swap that you proceed with. The value of this fee is the amount that you set in step 2 above. It's based on how much you're willing to pay to get a specific placement (and could be zero!). When you pay this we kick the process off to enact the swap successfully.
Potential Income
There's also the possiblity that you earn some money out of the placement you were allocated!
Potential income
When adding the placement you are given by the ICSP system, you have the option to enter an amount you'd be willing to 'sell' your placement for. For example, you could choose to sell your placement for R500 if you don't mind accepting another placement. If we find a match for you, and everyone accepts it, then we'll be in contact about paying you that R500!
